Hong Kong-based lessor China Aircraft Leasing Co. (CALC) has finalized an order from its previously announced commitment for 74 Airbus A320neos, 16 A320ceos and 10 A321ceos.

The deal, which was first announced as a memorandum of understanding in November, will take CALC’s total Airbus backlog to 140 A320 family aircraft.

“Adding these A320 family aircraft, including the latest generation A320neo to our portfolio, means we can fully meet all our customers’ requirements in terms of low fuel burn, high reliability and unbeatable comfort.

The A320 Family is without a doubt firmly established as a key asset in our fleet and the cornerstone of our single-aisle offering,” CALC CEO and executive director Mike Poon said.

This is CALC’s first order for the A320neo. In 2012, Poon outlined plans to grow CALC’s fleet from 60 to 100 aircraft by 2015.
